Immunology

The principal goals of the GCCIC are to 1) promote awareness among participating faculty of the technologies available at each institution that can facilitate basic, translational, and clinical immunology research; 2) introduce participating faculty to other GCCIC faculty and their research in order to facilitate research collaborations and multi- PI grant applications that focus on immunology; and 3) develop trans-institutional education mechanisms for all levels of immunology trainees (pre- and postdoctoral) to maximize scarce resources dedicated to training and education and establish a more enriching educational experience that transcends opportunities at individual institutions. Successful completion of these goals will yield an extraordinarily comprehensive immunology program offering world-class opportunities for immunology research and education for all participating institutions.
