Innovation and Diversity in Biomedical Science Seminar Series
Via Zoom for Spring 2021
This new series, with speakers from academia and other fields, is directed to graduate/predoctoral students and postdoctoral fellows to enable them to better understand the “journey” many underrepresented scientists and researchers have taken to attain excellence in their science-focused or science-related careers, including research, decision-making, mentoring and leadership. Talks will include research and career interests and the various pathways that shaped their career, while also focusing on the journey, the challenges or barriers that were overcome and the impact of great teachers, mentors, and others who provided support or encouragement as our speakers adapted to graduate school life and postdoctoral and professional career responsibilities. For registration, contact Vanessa Herrera.
